Sun is shining.....

Can you guess what Mac is holding?  Well for most of you who don't know its a homemade kite holder.  I found this item many years ago, probably around 15 years ago on the Alma beach. No one claimed it so I brought it home and since then we have been using the string to tie up our turkey.... As you see the thread is getting down but its lasted a good long time.
Mac is back to golf today, thank goodness, he has been buzzing around here like crazy so off he and Rama went.... hope they play 18 holes. lol

The scrapbook pages you see are of our sequence night.  It took a few years to get Laurie interested but now he is making his own board and loves the game.  A few of my smash pages are also added.

See you tomorrow.

Smash time.....

Well its still raining and what do you do to keep yourself busy, YOU SCRAPBOOK!!.

Got another page of Paula and Laurie's book done, a big start to christmas but I do have to start the one for Susan and Rob....

Here are a few pages from my smash book, really having fun with that one.  Its a little bit of anything and everything in daily lives from quotes, sayings and pictures... may add a few favorite recipes along the way.

On my way to physio, tennis elbow may be a little arthritis in there too...had x-rays and blood work to determine.

Cooked a small turkey last night for supper, boy was it good... just one of the turkey breasts we brought back from Maine.

Nearly Wordless Wednesday; show and tell.

Since I am so busy getting ready for Tom's confirmation, I have to do a few quick posts this week. These are the fabrics I have for Tom's outfit and my press.

The Queen's Jubilee

A 4 day celebration for the Queen's Jubilee was sucessful except for the absense of
Prince Philip, he was in hospital with a bladder infection and could not be by the Queen's
side for this 60 year celebration .

I was up and about early as I was a year ago for the royal wedding and enjoyed every minute of
the tv coverage.  As you see in the pictures I snapped there were people from all over and they
waved their flag and sang "God save the Queen" .  I tried to snap a picture of the Queen doing
her royal wave and get a picture of the future Kings.

I hope you have enjoyed the event as much as I have.

the weekend

Hockey weekend for the Cormier family, here Susan is seen with an oldtimer from the NHL and the boys are all smiles for a picture with Bourque who played for Boston Bruins .

The boys collected many autographs and had the
opportunity to skate with the oldtimers on Sunday even getting to try on their stanley cup rings.

Here you see Trent dressed up like a subway sandwich and Garret got to be the dressings . lol

The boys stayed overnight on Saturday night as Susan and Rob had an old friend Jason visiting from Vancouver so it was a party night for the old gang.... Kate was busy with her new cell phone texting away to the boyfriend.

More rubarb pies made on the weekend and even tried a small raspberry pie..l delicious

scrapbooking

Back into my scrapbooking room and did a page for Laurie and Paula's book, got to get myself
into the groove again.  This layout taken in February just after we arrived in Myrtle Beach, so nice
to have a BBQ in winter and be outside.

We went to the doctor this AM, all is fine but I have tennis/golfers elbow so I have to go to
physiotherapy for awhile and see if that helps.  Back to doctor in 6 weeks to see how its coming. Also
having x-rays and blood work to see if there is also arthritis in elbow and lower back.

Waiting for a visit from Edna and Reed, have not seen them in quite awhile so I am glad I just
happen to have rubarb pie made.  Malcolm is making macroni and meat for supper tonight.

By the way this is Marcus and Kate and Garret in bottom photo.....

wacky day in Myrtle B each

Well everyone wonders what we do when we are not shopping or golfing so here it is, a wacky day in Myrtle Beach. lol..

Nirupama was anxious to walk around Barefoot before heading back to Toronto and we were all
surprised at what crazy things we could see and do and have fun doing it.

I could not tell you how much we laughed this day and others around us had a good laugh too.
I have to say Nirupama can really come up with good theme pictures to take..
