scrapbooking

Back into my scrapbooking room and did a page for Laurie and Paula's book, got to get myself
into the groove again.  This layout taken in February just after we arrived in Myrtle Beach, so nice
to have a BBQ in winter and be outside.

We went to the doctor this AM, all is fine but I have tennis/golfers elbow so I have to go to
physiotherapy for awhile and see if that helps.  Back to doctor in 6 weeks to see how its coming. Also
having x-rays and blood work to see if there is also arthritis in elbow and lower back.

Waiting for a visit from Edna and Reed, have not seen them in quite awhile so I am glad I just
happen to have rubarb pie made.  Malcolm is making macroni and meat for supper tonight.

By the way this is Marcus and Kate and Garret in bottom photo.....

wacky day in Myrtle B each

Well everyone wonders what we do when we are not shopping or golfing so here it is, a wacky day in Myrtle Beach. lol..

Nirupama was anxious to walk around Barefoot before heading back to Toronto and we were all
surprised at what crazy things we could see and do and have fun doing it.

I could not tell you how much we laughed this day and others around us had a good laugh too.
I have to say Nirupama can really come up with good theme pictures to take..

Happy Birthday to our grandson Trent, he turned
12 today and we celebrated his day on Sunday
with ice cream birthday cake, his favorite.

Tonight Trent and Garret have lacrosse in Sackville so a busy day for both of them.  I am sure they will talk Mom and Dad into supper out before or after the game. lol...

Its a cold day out there today and maybe a good day for scrapbooking.

A visit from Willy and Rose

It was such a surprise to see  my friend Rose and Willy at the door, its been a long time since I seen her.  Willy is heading to PEI to a new home but I think he probably was very lonely for Rose the
first few nights as he was not letting her out of his sight.

Just so happened that Kate and Trent were at the house so needless to say they thought Willy was
the cutest and thought Nanny and Grampie should have an english bulldog as well, Sorry boys and
girls but a visit from furry friends is great but travelling comes first. lol

Celebrated Trent's birthday on Sunday even though its tomorrow but he is in Sackville along with Garret for Lacrosse on Tuesday evening so cake was Sunday and gift opening.  Think he was happy with all.

Golf Town

Golf town opened its doors this morning at 8 AM but Mac was there for 7:30 waiting with the other
golfers .  First 100 customers in the doors received a gift bag so he got one which has a few golf balls and golf tees in it and of course advertisements.

Oh he could not resist the new golf club you see in his hand a taylor made and his favorite golf balls, I thought he was finished buying golf items in Myrtle Beach but I was fooled.

Off to get Kate, a visit to the dentist as her brace is unhooked and pick up Trent, he is home sick with a cold...... They are lucky we live in Moncton.....

Deal of the day

As many of you know Malcolm is a  bargain hunter and waits patiently on flyer day to hit the
grocery stores.

Today was a good find, not advertised but in the bargain bin at sobeys at 50% off for a total of 4.59 a
box for Newman's Own Keurig 12 pack, he bought 5. Apparently the store is not carrying this brand anymore but the expiry date is Nov 2013.

Now what other goodies will he find out there!!

Another wet day out there, no golf... The grandchildren are coming for supper so we got corn at sobey's, another good price 1.98 for 6, its delicious.

See you tomorrow....

Hello again after a lovely long weekend.  It was so beautiful and we enjoyed it staying at home as much as going anywhere.  Got the patio furniture out  and put together, more rubarb pies made up and
a visit from the boys Sunday night and a sleep over.

On Monday Malcolm back to golf, the boys left and went home and I went over to visit Susan and
it was such a hot day she was outside in her swing while the guys went biking.  Trent needed to cool off when he returned so grabbed the hose in the yard.

Kate and Markes were helping Susan with yard work but not too happy looking.

I did enter a weekend smash book challenge and this is one of the pages I created.

A great weekend......

homemade cards

scrapbook Lounge gals

Well its scrap time again and I wanted to share with you a few cards I received when
I got back from Myrtle Beach, these gals belong to a scrapbook group I am involved in
The Scrapbook Lounge.

Another bleak day, trips to the dentist for Malcolm for a cleaning.  I headed to scrapbook room
to see what mischief I can get into.  Picking up Kate for dentist at 3.

Fiddleheads

Another favorite of the season  to enjoy are fiddleheads, last night when I was preparing supper we
decided to use up the rest of the fiddleheads in the freezer.  We cook them
from frozen putting them in microwave on defrost for 10-15 minutes and then cook for a few minutes.
They keep their color nicely and taste delicious with vinegar and butter......

My first experience with fiddleheads came when we lived in Woodstock NB, neither Malcolm nor
I had tasted them before and friends thought it was a good idea to go pick them but did not tell us
how to remove those little brown specks on each one.  Someone told me to put them in the dryer and
the little brown specks would be gone.  Oh I tried it and yes I had brown specks all over our clothes
for months.  Guess they didn't think I would be that stupid but a young gal of 21 does those stupid
things. lol

Anyway, its a rainy day and I put together my first strawberry rubarb pies, they look good so hope
they taste good as well.

A little humor for the day I got from a friend

A few final puns

Rubarb time again...

Its that time of year and Rubarb is ready ..... Our dear neighbour Bill gave Malcolm a heads up
yesterday that he could help himself and Mac was gone like a flash . lol

Had a great relaxing Mothers Day, went to lunch with Malcolm Jr and Susan to House of Lam, my
favorite treat.... spent the rest of day watching some tv, reading and relaxing, what more could you ask
for.

Blogs will be at random , getting back in the grove of it all.  May get a bit of scrapbooking started since it does not look like a very nice day but that does not stop the boys from heading to golf course... how long will they last I wonder... haha.

We have returned to N.B.

Hello everyone, we have returned home after nearly 3 months away and its good to be home.

Mac has been busy preparing lawn, and other outside work as well as filling up the freezer  fridge and cupboard. lol

I think we brought the sunshine back with us but its calling for rain next few days.  The guys were out on the golf course first thing Monday and today so most of routine has been established.

Grandchildren paid a visit on Friday and Garret and Kate stayed over on Saturday night , Trent stayed with a friend while Sue and Rob went to Halifax to see cirque du soleil, tickets Rob won through work.

Think I had better hit the closets and clean out some clothing to send to Value Village so I can fit in my
clothes bought in Myrtle Beach, each year we say we are not going to buy and then you hit those sales and bang we do it again.

Blog will not be published for awhile, need to do other things and get back to scrapbooking once I organize scraproom again.   So for now I will let you all know when I start up again.  Take care, Pat
